Caps are the plastic things you press on, switches are the things under it that decide whether you pressed it far enough or not. The keys are low profile with just the right amount of travel for my liking. Some of the big keyboard makers want in on the aftermarket keycap business. I'm partial to them with some led covers, but with white? It's definitely a niche market, but people who can afford to are willing to pay a premium for it, and buy multiple keyboards, and more accessories, and all that.
